SmartCalc ("we", "us", "our") operates the SmartCalc website and its 40+ free calculator tools (the "Service"). For questions about this policy, use the Contact page.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message — used solely to respond to your enquiry. This data is not added to any marketing list.
2.2 Automatically Collected Data
Standard server logs record: IP address (anonymised where required), date/time, pages viewed, browser type, OS, and referring URL. Used only for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis — never linked to an identity.
2.3 Calculator Inputs
All calculation inputs and results are processed entirely in your browser via JavaScript. No calculation data is ever transmitted to our servers.
2.4 Local Storage
We save only your theme preference (light/dark) to localStorage on your device. This never leaves your device and can be cleared via your browser's site data settings.
2.5 Live API Calls
The currency converter contacts Frankfurter API (ECB rates) and/or the fawazahmed0 CDN. The crypto converter contacts CoinGecko's public API. These calls are made from your browser directly to those public APIs — your IP may be logged by those services per their own privacy policies. No calculation data is shared; only a standard rate-fetch request is made.

3.1 First-Party Cookies
SmartCalc does not set any first-party cookies.
3.2 Google AdSense
We display ads via Google AdSense. Google may set cookies to serve interest-based ads. Opt out at Google Ads Settings or the DAA opt-out page.
3.3 Google Fonts
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log the request per their Privacy Policy.
